:The good: I didn't kill NiXit over the past couple days. :The bad: I didn't kill NiXit over the past couple days. :The ugly: : :turkey buzzard vs Vette @ about 120mph. Could have been much worse for the driver... the bird definitely wasn't happy. :So what did we do out there at the Big Bend Open Road Race? Pretty much like red lighting in drag racing, we were a little too anxious. A couple small errors compounded got us disqualified from the race for violations of timing/speed requirements for our class. Needless to say I'm way bummed about not finishing, but on the bright side I got to run 1/2 the race and Nick and I learned a TON about how to go about competing in an open road race... and believe me, after Saturday's first run, I've found a higher calling. Nothing like driving down a 2 lane road and apexing in the left lane on a blind corner at 135mph w/o fear of oncoming traffic or police. Except doing it faster! ;-) :I'll post up more details on ttzd.com at some point soon.
